The Arizona Transit Association is committed to you. In an effort to empower all of us to become advocates of public transportation, below are frequently asked questions and answers affecting public transportation in Arizona.

Where can I find out more about AzTA’s history as an Association?

Most of the conferences, publications, and Board of Directors information is posted on the AzTA website.  Browse away to find out more about AzTA’s rich history as an advocate and educator of public transportation.

How can I sponsor an event or conference?

As part of all of AzTA’s upcoming events, go to the conferences and events page and click on “sponsors”.  You can register as a sponsor or exhibitor electronically, or by making a simple phone call.

Does AzTA produce a Newsletter?

The AzTA Advocate was published quarterly from July 2010 through April 2015 in cooperation with the Arizona Department of Transportation.  If you want to see the most recent and archived copies, find them at AzTA Newsletters!

Does AzTA provide any information about the state legislature?

On AzTA’s home page, look for a link to the state legislature and to Arizona’s congressional delegation.  At those links, you’ll find more about what’s happening in the transit world!

What are “Hot Topics”?

On a regular basis, you’ll find new issues about transit addressed as part of the “Hot Topics” resource page.  Check it out regularly for items on interest and controversy about public transportation across Arizona and the nation.

Where can I find out about transit jobs?

Yes, search the tabs at the top of the home page for links to jobs (and to RFPs) that are offered by our members and nationwide.

How can I get involved with AzTA?

As an AzTA member you will be supporting activities to improve public transit.  Your membership will help:

  • Develop programs to heighten public awareness on the improvement public transit
  • Lobby the State for increased support for local public transportation projects, programs and services.
  • Provide educational public transportation conferences, workshops and seminars for policy makers, transportation professionals, businesses and community leaders.
  • Inform members with useful and relevant public transportation information through newsletters, bulletins, faxes and e-mail.

What is AzTA?

Arizona Transit Association (AzTA) is a non-profit statewide organization dedicated to improving public transportation in all Arizona communities.  AzTA’s membership includes local governments, chambers of commerce, major employers, transit program operators, transit suppliers and contractors, small businesses, non-profit community agencies and transportation consultants.
