WORKSHOP HOSTS: CAG, the Sun Corridor MPO, Maricopa Association of Governments and BTA will host a workshop that covers two very popular topics that can help you take your agency to another level in terms of vehicle efficiency and volunteer involvement.
MORNING: The Vehicle Sharing Workshop will take place at 10:00 AM and will answer questions and concerns about allowing others to safely use other agency’s vehicles, the revenue it can generate from doing so and how to limit your liability in the process. In a competitive market for public funds, sharing vehicles demonstrates a high degree of coordination, making your program more apt to receiving 5310 funding.
LUNCH: There will be a 90 minute break for lunch with live music by the artistic stylings of ” Western Strings”. A duet of Billy Parker and Ron Rutowski, live violin and mandolin music, played for your enjoyment. Billy and Ron have been making great music together for 20+ years throughout the state at fairs, festivals, concerts and parties. AFTERNOON: The “Volunteers Can Do More Than You Think” workshop will begin at 1:30 PM and conclude at 3:00 PM. Come expecting the tips and tools to recruit and identify the best volunteers, helps you figure out the keys to making a volunteer program work in your community, helps you set parameters around involvement and will give you lots of helpful ideas on rewarding and retaining your volunteers.
