Valley Metro RPTA Supervisor, Maintenance of Way
The Supervisor, Maintenance of Way position is responsible for planning, supervising, directing, reviewing and evaluating the work of staff in the inspection, maintenance, installation, troubleshooting and repair over wayside, Traction power, signal, track and Fare collection of the light rail system. Typical duties: Oversee maintenance and repair of rail traction electrification, signal and communication systems, facilities, track way and other right of way properties, inspections, preparation of cost estimates, inventory, recordkeeping, and safety.
The Supervisor, Maintenance of Way shall contribute to team efforts and represents Agency core values in the performance of duties
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Equivalent to Associates degree from accredited college or university with major coursework in electrical and/or mechanical or a closely related field or Five (5) years in facility maintenance or repair of track, signal, or traction power experience in a light rail environment, One (1) of which was in a supervisory role OR Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties such as those listed above.
