Maricopa Association on Governments (MAG)

The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) is seeking a qualified Planning or Engineering student for a paid Transportation Planning internship. Undergraduate students in their third or fourth year as well as graduate students are encouraged to apply.

The primary duties of the internship will be querying custom databases, developing and maintaining spreadsheets, and utilizing computer applications to assist in the preparation of planning and performance reports to be used for website content and publications. Secondary responsibilities will include general transportation planning support that may include assisting with meetings, completing research, writing reports, and responding to customer inquiries. 

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office Suite, excellent written and oral communication skills, and organizational skills. Experience working with programs such as Microsoft Project, or Visio is desired. Proficiency in ESRI GIS, and Microsoft SharePoint, products is a plus.

Approximately 20 plus hours per week.  Length of internship will be determined based on candidate’s preferences, qualifications and performance.
