Maricopa, AZ (November 14, 2018) – Hundreds of people gathered to attend the second annual City of Maricopa Veterans Day Parade. The parade was an opportunity to honor Veterans who are currently serving and those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Starting at the Central Arizona College (CAC) campus, the parade route traveled west on Bowlin Road, then north on Porter Road before ending at the Leading Edge Academy.
Among the many floats, marching bands and parade participants, Totalride, the City’s transit contractor, ran a Totalride charter bus and the City of Maricopa COMET bus and handed out goodie bags to spectators along the route.
“Totalride has been contracted to provide transportation with the City of Maricopa for more than 6 years. During this time, Totalride has proven it is more than a contracted transit provider; they are a partner with the City and are ready and willing to support and lend a hand in our community,” said David Maestas, Transportation Manager for the City of Maricopa. “Partners like this are hard to find.”
Founded in 1985, Totalride operates numerous transit, paratransit, school bus, charter and on-demand contracts throughout the state of Arizona. Totalride is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.
