This position is responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed and for responding to emergency situations. Some examples of essential functions that will be undertaken during regular performance of the job are listed below.



  • Conducts road checks to ensure customer service, on time performance, route compliance, and operational safety; discuss and provide results to Operations Manager and Safety Manager as applicable.
  • Ensures that all Mountain Line policies, procedures and safety requirements are followed and documented, and open/close procedures for the facilities are followed always.
  • Ensures fare boxes are removed and secure according to procedure, with empty vaults installed for next day service.
  • Conducts various training including behind the wheel for all new transit operators and may provide refresher training, as requested by Safety Manager and approved by Operations Manager.
  • Oversees staff performing vehicle maintenance detailing duties including washing, cleaning, fueling, and adding diesel emissions fluid to vehicles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years prior similar work experience
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position.



  • Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake and Passenger Endorsements
  • DOT Physical Examination Medical Card
  • Obtain DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Obtain CPR/1st Aid certification
